Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Lumia. We've written them to be as clear and readable as possible. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Lumia application or website (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lumia Interactive Ltd. (“Lumia,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years of age to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 17 years old and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Use of the Services is void where prohibited by law. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local laws applicable to your use.
3. Your Account
3.1 Account Creation
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 One Account Per Person
Each person may maintain only one Lumia account. Creating duplicate accounts or accounts on behalf of others without authorization is prohibited.
3.3 Account Security
Notify us immediately at support@lumiaapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use due to your failure to maintain account security.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or harm other users
- Post or transmit unlawful, harmful, or offensive content
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Spam, advertise, or solicit other users commercially without authorization
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or other automated tools
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
- Post content involving minors in any inappropriate context
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, at our sole discretion.
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create and post on Lumia (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Lumia a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and improve the Services.
5.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. Lumia does not endorse any User Content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Services — including software, design, trademarks, logos, and proprietary algorithms — are owned exclusively by Lumia Interactive Ltd. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, service marks, trade names, or logos without our prior written consent.
7. Paid Services
Lumia offers optional premium subscription plans (“Lumia Premium”) providing enhanced features. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable subscription rate.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase for first-time subscribers, subject to our Refund Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Lumia does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Lumia does not background-check users and makes no representations regarding the accuracy, safety, or conduct of any user. You interact with other users at your own risk. Always exercise caution and common sense.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lumia Interactive Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the Services.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive termination.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP infringement or unauthorized data access.
Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute will be resolved individually and not as part of a class or representative action.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and/or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
